After learning the handstand, the next logical step is learning the handstand pushup. This requires strength and balance. It is a hard skill to learn, but well worth it. This program will teach you to do 5 full range of motion handstand pushups through exercises I know from experience work.

3 DAYS A WEEK

Level 1 - Lacks strength

  • Day 1: Handstand pushup specific strength and upper body
  • Day 2: Freestanding handstand pushup exercises and upper body
  • Day 3: Handstand pushup specific strength and upper body

 

Level 2 - Building to 5 reps

  • Day 1: Handstand pushups, specific strength and upper body
  • Day 2: Handstand pushups, overhead press and upper body
  • Day 3: Handstand pushup specific strength and upper body

 

Level 3 - Building to 5 full range of motion reps

  • Day 1: Full ROM Handsrand pushups, overhead press and upper body
  • Day 2: Full ROM handstand pushups, overhead press and upper body
  • Day 3: Handstand pushup specific strength and upper body
